School newsletters have changed over the years. Or have they? These days you can print in colour, upload onto a website, and access from a smartphone but the school news itself is consistent year in, year out: excursions, thank-yous, examples of student work, excursions.
In our first newsletter from the archives, 22 April 1999, you'll briefly meet the new principal, Ron Smith, read about athletics results, Pie Day, and news from the classrooms.
On May 6 1999, you'll read about Mother's Day, a visit to Parliament House, students of the week, and work in the garden beds at Rosamond Rd.
The newsletter of 29 July 1999 tells us, among other things, that Exits students Angelo and Jessica 'cooked up a storm for their VCE food production, with a delicious Russian Beef Saute'. Students of the Week included Clint Phillips 'for taking his muddy shoes off before coming into class' and Chantelle Gordon 'for being a lovely quiet worker in class'. The Rosamond Parents' Club was preparing for a Giant Car Boot Sale.
