Rosamond Special School

Rosamond Parents' Group

The Rosamond Parents' Group was started by a small group of parents, initially as a support group. Over a cuppa and chat, parents were able to share their stories, make connections with others, and develop friendships. Subsequently, this hard-working group has branched into: fundraising through Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls; organising guest speakers; and by tapping into various other services, providing information on subjects like Companion Cards, Centrelink, NDIS and Respite.

Through their fundraising, the group has been able to donate money to fund programs and equipment, such as kitchen equipment for our Seeds Cafe, supporting our Camps Program and contributing to the aesthetic development of our buildings and grounds.

The group has became an integral part of our School community, meeting once a month for morning tea: usually at school.

The fortnightly school newsletter and the noticeboard in the school foyer will have details about the current ‘Parents and Friends’ Group, who are always looking for new members.

If you are a Parent or Friend of the Rosamond School community and you are interested in joining and/or supporting this group, please contact the school office.
